General Questions
What type of footwear is allowed?
Outdoor cleats are not allowed. Indoor shoes, turf shoes, or running shoes are allowed.
Can I bring my pet inside the CFC Arena?
No. There are no pets allowed inside the CFC Arena.
What is the address of the CFC Arena?
The CFC Arena is located at 1018 Sherman Avenue in Hamden. We are close to Route 91 and the Merritt Parkway. For directions, please click HERE
Soccer Leagues
How much is each league?
During the peak season, each soccer league is typically 8 games (two, 26 minute halves) for $880.
When are the league payments due?
A $200 deposit is required at least 2 weeks before the start of the league. The full payment is due the day of or before your first game. Any teams that are not paid in full, can have games eliminated from their schedule. A $25 late fee will be accessed for each week the balance is not paid in full.
Do we need a roster for our team?
Yes, each team needs to fill out a CFC Arena roster and have their parents sign (if they are under 18). The Roster can be found HERE.
What are the indoor soccer rules for the CFC Arena?

How many players are allowed on the roster?
You can have an unlimited amount of players on your roster. Each player (or if they are under 18, their guardian) needs to check in and sign your teams’ roster at the front desk before they can play.
Does my team need to pay the $3 CJSA fee if they already paid it for their outdoor team?
Yes. Each player is required to pay $3 once per year at each indoor facility they play at. This is to cover insurance set up by CJSA (Connecticut Junior Soccer Association).
Lacrosse Leagues
How many people play on the field at once?
The LAX leagues are 7 vs 7 (6 field players and 1 goalkeeper).

Is there body checking?
Boys = LIMITED body checking. Do not knock players down. Girls = Middle School League = Checking below the shoulder only. Girls = High School League = Normal checking
Tournaments
Can I run a tournament at the CFC Arena?
Yes, we have different options for an outside club or person running a tournament of any sport at the CFC Arena. If you are interested, please contact info@cfcarena.com.
What different sports have tournaments?
We have had soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee and other sports inside the CFC Arena.
How many games does each team play?
We typically try to do three – 26 minute games plus playoffs for the top teams. Each tournament will have its own specific format and will be posted on that tournament page.
Rentals
What are the dimensions of the fields?
Field 1 is approx. 65 x 35 yards, Field 2 is approx. 65 x 35 yards and Field 3 is approx. 35 x 15 yards
How much does it cost to rent a field?
From October through April Field 1 and Field 2 are $195 an hour. Field 3 is $50 an hour.
Can we rent out the entire facility?
Yes! We offer discounted rates for renting out the facility for multiple hours and days. Please contact info@cfcarena.com if you are interested in renting the facility or having a corporate event.
Soccer Clinics
What should my child bring to class?
Athletic clothing (running shoes or indoor soccer shoes) and water. Shinguards are optional but encouraged. Most players do enjoy using their own soccer ball in class.
Which classes are better weekends or weekdays?
During the winter months, the weekend classes tend to have more outside distractions due to the leagues going on. Weekday classes tend to be less hectic and quieter. If your child is easily distracted, we would suggest the weekday classes.
What is the coach to player ratio?
The Kangaroos have 1 coach for a maximum of 8 players. Clinics for 5 years of age and up have no more than 10 players for 1 coach per class.
Birthday Parties
If we have more than 15 people can we rent Field 1 or Field 2?
Yes. Field 1 and 2 are available to be rented the parties for an additional $150. There is limited space available for Field 1 and 2 so be sure to book your party early!
Do I tip my party coordinator?
The CFC Arena pays the coordinators to run and organize your party, but you are welcome to tip them cash.
Can we use the inflatable for half an hour and do a sport for a half hour?
Unfortunately, no. Because the inflatable is so big, we cannot bring it in and out.
Can I bring in my own food and decorations?
Yes. We encourage you to do so. Pizza and gatorade are available for purchase.
